Overview of current policies, strategies and institutional arrangements for improving post-harvest loss management in Sub-Saharan Africa: A case of four countries

The purpose of the study: This study reviews the past and current policies, strategies and development programmes, which are related to post-harvest loss management (PHLM) in four sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) countries, Benin, Madagascar, Malawi and Mozambique; The literature review is extended to other countries in SSA; The findings of the study will contribute towards improvement of PHLM and designing of policies and strategies that will enable smallholder farmers to get better access to PHLM technologies.
